Who I am
My name is Tamara Coleman. I am a licensed clinical social worker and registered yoga teacher. I have dedicated over 20 years to supporting people with emotional growth and healing. In therapy, I offer people opportunities to tell their own unique stories and let them be the facilitators of their own healing and growth from trauma, depression, anxiety, and other life challenges. My perspective is person centered and trauma informed. I use a combination of evidence-based modalities, including mindfulness and CBT, to guide people to greater self awareness and recovery.
Core Values
Meet individuals where they are emotionally.

What We Do
Healing Journey is a clinical counseling practice that combines traditional “talk” therapy with gentle, mindful movements for an innovative and wholistic emotional healing experience.

The benefits of adding mindful movement to therapy
Within the therapy context, adjunctive treatments such as yoga, or mindful movement, may provide additional improvements beyond traditional therapy alone. Incorporating yoga into treatment integrates both mind and body, creating a more holistic healing process through the teaching of mindfulness and improving client’s connectedness and awareness to their internal experience. That is, the implementation of yoga with concurrent therapy, facilitates experiencing the present moment, making choices, taking effective action, and creating a moving meditation.
